Milwaukee
Derick and I drove up to Milwaukee for a little weekend getaway; I had plans to spend time with Danielle and Derick played in a Air Soft Tournament.
Danielle brought us out to Jackson's, a slightly hole in the wall place with loads of Milwaukee's best fried foods. We split some cheese curds and a GIANT pretzel. It was so good.

Colorado
Derick and I took a short trip out to Colorado. We got great seats to the Hawks vs. Avs game. The area was really nice and new but it took FOREVER to get food there. The ladies working the concessions really like to stop and talk to everyone!

The next day we took a drive up to Vail to go snowboarding. It snowed the whole way there (good thing we had rented a Jeep) and all day. It was so amazing to have fresh power the whole time.
Once we got out sore bodies back into town we showered up and headed over to Osteria Marco for dinner. It was in a really cute area of Denver and I wish we would have gone there earlier in the day so that I would have been able to check out some of the stores that were around there. Next time!

Honeymoon - Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Derick and I spent a week at the Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana. The best part of the resort was the beach, it had warm clear water (I actually got in, twice!) and beautiful white sand. The weather was about 90 degrees every day but there was a really nice breeze that kept it comfortable. While resorts are not really our thing, we had such a relaxing time and it was perfect for a honeymoon after all of the stress of a wedding!

Washington DC
Chinatown!
A work related trip left me a few hours to explore the city... and of course "meet" one of the cities most famous residents!

Minneapolis
Jenny and I flew up to Minnie for the weekend to visit some of our cousins! Our lovely hosts/tour guides were Jill and Scott. We were able to visit The Guthrie, Mill City Museum, Midtown Global Market and of course The Mall of America. We also were able to visit our cousin Rich and his wife Lori!
